Our Values

Community Focused
We are committed to engaging the
community to partner with us in our mission
to produce high-quality live theatre, whether
that’s on stage, back stage, or in the
audience.
Youth Envolvement

Students play an important role in our
theatre, and we focus on the youth in our
community by producing at least two CAYT
shows each season, in which students in
grades 5-12 have substantial involvement.

Theatre Appreciation
We desire to cultivate appreciation for
live theatre in our patrons and
participants through a variety of show
offerings, season membership, and a
welcoming atmosphere.
Our History
For over 90 years The Clemson Little Theatre has called the Pickens and Anderson County Area home!
1931
The Clemson Little Theatre began in 1931, as a small reading group in Clemson, SC.
That group quickly evolved to performing plays wherever it could find space around
town or on the Clemson University campus.

1989
300 friends of The Clemson Little Theatre helped purchase the old movie theatre on Mechanic Street in Pendleton. With the dedicated work of many volunteers and generous patrons, the facilities were renovated into the Pendleton Playhouse and Cox Hall.
